The Baby Is Here: Is It Time To Work From Home?

If you are a new parent, things sure have changed for you in the past year or so.  At this point, becoming a new parent represents new challenges and responsibilities.  How can you balance this with your professional life?

With the technologies developed around the growth of the internet, more and more new parents are considering the option to work from home.  It is not surprising that a new parent would relish the opportunity to avoid the costs of daycare, and set his or her own schedule while being assuming the role being the new boss.

If a new parent is considering a home business, the problem is that everyone is trying to promote their business, regardless of whether or not it is really a good fit for your unique situation, and skill set.

Here is my advice.  As I commonly say, conduct your own due diligence before committing to any business.  This includes making sure that you are able to give 100% to whichever endeavor your ultimately move forward with.  Also, make sure that you do not wait to get every single possible fact before taking action as this is impossible.  You must get whichever facts you can in a timely manner, and then move forward.  If you learn of additional facts in the future, adjust your path accordingly.

Another factor which you should consider is whether are not your are being asked to essentially pay to work from home by being required to pay for a home business. From my experience, if the whole objective of the business is to sell a business to you, and you in turn sell businesses to others, without actually focusing on a unique product or service, the business will eventually fail. Generally these types of operations last for a few months, maybe a year.

Personally, the only type of home business or work from home solution which I would become involved in is one in which you can engage in with a bank account balance which look like this:  $0.27. For your information, if your bank account balance looks like that, you are not getting those 27 cents. All jokes aside, you should never have to pay money before you can make money.

Zero Cost. Zero Obligation.
