Data Entry Jobs "Uncovered"

The typical data entry job requires that the "employee" repeatedly copy and paste specific text, and fill out forms in succession, or something very similar. It involves mindless work, which does not require very much experience, but at the same time does not provide very much mental stimulation. Repitition is the name of the game here, not thought or foresight.
For some people, this is exactly what they are looking for. Others would prefer to be waterboarded than attempt to withstand that form of monotony. Needless to say, data entry jobs are not for everyone.
For people who have the mental endurance to take on a data entry job, I will attempt to steer you in the right direction below.
Webmaster Forums are a great place to start when looking for data entry jobs. There are millions of websites on the World Wide Web. There are also thousands, if not tens of thousands of webmasters who, rather than performing simple, but time consuming tasks on their websites, would rather outsource such labor, so that they can focus on promoting and updating the content on their website. As a result, there is a fairly hefty demand for such labor.
However, there is a challenge associated with tracking down these webmasters. A proven strategy is visiting venues with a large amount of webmasters, such as webmaster forums. Here you can hoist your flag, and let webmasters know that you are available for data entry.
There are two such forums which come to mind. Sitepoint Forums, is a very active forum, which will charge a nominal fee to post your ad. However, an equally active forum is Digitalpoint Forum, which will allow you to post your ad for free. Personally, I recommend the latter for obvious reasons. In addition, I believe that Digitalpoint forum has more valuable information, on a wider variety of subject, therefore, a larger array of individuals and webmasters tend to occupy it.
Craig's List is also another valuable resource with looking for data entry jobs. Known as one of the largest online classified websites in the world, Craig's List has a section entitled, "Writing Gigs". Here, there always seem to be a few people looking for someone to do data entry work. Further sites to consider are HotJobs and Monster.com.
Protecting Yourself From Fraudsters
You should never pay for a "product" which promises to provide you with a data entry job. If you were applying for a job at a sandwich shop, would they charge you before offering you a job? Of course not. You would immediately assume that the manager was trying to line his or her pockets. The same holds true for ANY online job as well. Never pay for promises of a job, no matter how innocent it may apppear to be.
As is a common theme in every review that I write, make sure that you do your own due diligence. Search engines have turned us all into potention private investigators. Hone that skill when looking to invest your valuable time into any work from home or home business opportunity.
